Go-Ri’s life centers around MinGo, her family's restaurant in Seoul, Korea, but music beats in her heart. As a self-taught musical prodigy, she can play more instruments than the length of her long straight black hair.
Two years ago everything changed in an instant, shattering her life and her dreams.
With no other options, she concentrates on reinventing herself within her family and her music. Rather than leading, she dedicates herself to teaching. As long as she remains cautious and stays within her new protective fortress, she is content to live out her dreams through her students.
Go-Ri is completely immersed in teaching and composing music. Jazz, classical, or traditional Korean—anything BUT pop. In her view, K-Pop artists are merely ‘scumbags and trained monkeys’ controlled by exploitative recording studios.
The challenge comes in the form of a tall, polite, handsome man who moved into an apartment near MinGo. He always seems to be around, yet he doesn't appear to be like the stalker she already knows. He seems... different. Kind.
He manages to break through her defenses and find a place in her life, but how much does she truly know about him? How far is she willing to let him disturb her life?
She needs her boundaries, but he is growing on her. She doesn’t want to choose between the two.
